Instead of recognising the existing Citizenship of the Republic of Cyprus like all other UN members and the EU what this article has in mind is to strip all Cypriots of their existing Citizenship and then re-assess their eligibility to Citizenship based on new criteria. The full details of the Agreement given in Annex III Attachment 4 show that the reason for this is because the real intention of Article 3 is to give over 100,000 illegal Turkish colonists the right to Cyprus citizenship despite the fact the their presence on Cyprus is an act to alter and destroy the demography which has been condemned by the United Nations and European Parliament and constitutes genocide as defined by the International Convention for the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide.
Annex III Attachment 4 construes to select 45,000 Turkish colonists who will be given Cyprus citizenship while at the same time it purports to ethnically cleanse all but 45,000 Greeks who are legally Cyprus citizens already. On top of this the Cypriot peoples right to award and regulate their own citizenship will be effectively stripped from them by the creation of an extra-judicial “Citizenship Board” made up of three Turks, three Greek Cypriots two foreigners to decide on citizenship and issue and stamp passports, which bares no relation to the demography of the island and is not democratically accountable.
The provisions of this plan regarding citizenship must be amended to recognise the existing Citizenship of the Republic of Cyprus and ensure that all illegal Turkish colonists and their descendents are treated as illegal immigrants which is how they are defined by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and the EU, and deported as illegal immigrants. Cyprus citizenship can only be awarded by Cypriots themselves and must be based on the will of the majority.
