Entertainment was provided in the Market Square by various acts from the community and from out of town including Bollywood and Irish dancers. Over 1000 people turned for the parade from the Fish Market Gallery around the town centre and back to the stage in the Market Square were the crowd was addressed by community leaders and Northampton's Mayor, Councillor Michael Hill, Tony Woods the leader of the Borough Council and MP Sally Keeble in support of the festival and the building of a new Hindu temple and community centre in the town.
