Paragraph by Paragraph Analysis of the Implications of the Annan Plan
Foundation Agreement
Article 12 Past acts
2. Any claims for liability or
compensation arising from acts prior to this Agreement shall, insofar as they
are not otherwise regulated by the provisions of this Agreement, be dealt
with by the constituent state from which the claimant hails. |
Comments
This article in conjunction with the entire agreement purports to deny the people of Cyprus access to the European Court of Human Rights for violations of their right perpetrated by Turkey during and after its illegal invasion and occupation of Cyprus and cannot possibly be condoned in any way shape or form. It also seeks to deny justice by braking the convention that a case is dealt with in the place a crime was committed. Paragraph 2 must therefore be amended.
